ECOCENE CENTER OF ADVANCED STUDIES

The Ecocene Centre of Advanced Studies is the academic platform of the Ecocene Foundation. It conducts research based on a transdisciplinary conception of the study of transition/transformation processes towards socio-ecological sustainability, seeking to develop three forms of knowledge: systemic (knowledge about transformation processes), normative (knowledge about the goals of transformation) and practical (knowledge applicable to transformative processes).

Development of visions, theoretical concepts and integrated models for a systemic transformation towards a socio-ecological sustainability.

Study ongoing social-ecological transformations in different parts of the world, focusing on Latin America, to provide insights into systemic change.

Design and implementation of training programs in the social-ecological field for different audiences, with the academic support of major international universities.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT UNIT

The Ecocene Foundation manages projects aimed at the socio-ecological transition. The Project Management Unit undertakes the administrative management of the Foundation’s own projects as well as third party projects, provided they share the Foundation’s focus and objectives.
